Joshua Persky, 48, an MIT graduate who was out of work for almost a year, used an unorthodox approach to his job hunt. Persky, a former investment banker and MIT graduate, stood on a busy New York City street handing out resumes to passers-by with a sandwich board strapped to his chest that read "Experienced M.I.T. Grad for Hire." Persky started work with the accounting firm Weiser LLP on December 1, 2008.International Herald Tribune: Sign stunt pays off for laid-off New Yorker (December 11, 2008) The New York Times: Jobless, and Selling Himself the Old-Fashioned Way (July 4, 2008)
