  • Josh Towers is a right-handed pitcher for the Colorado Rockies. A native of Oxnard, CA, Towers played baseball at Oxnard Junior College before being drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 15th round of the 1996 amateur draft. After five years as a minor league pitching prospect in the Orioles farm system, Towes made his major league debut on May 2, 2001. He previously played for the Toronto Blue Jays and the Baltimore Orioles. Towers started 20 games for the Orioles that season, an posted a record of 8-10. Towers began the 2002 season as a member of Orioles starting rotation, but was sent back to the minors after loosing his first three decisions. The next season, Towers signed a free agent contract to pitch for the Toronto Blue Jays. After five seasons with the Blue Jays, Towers signed a 2-year free agent contract with the Rockies.
