Josh Smith

Forward Josh Smith plays professional basketball for the Atlanta Hawks in the National Basketball Association.

During a April 29, 2009, playoff game against the Atlanta Hawks, Smith had the ball on a break-away with a little more than four minutes left in the game. Joshua Smith was born in College Park in Georgia on December 5, 1986. He attended high school at Oak Hill Academy in Virginian. In 2004, Smith was selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the 17th pick in the NBA draft.Basketball-Reference.com: Josh Smith

Smith made his NBA debut in the 2004-2005 season and appeared in 74 games for the Hawks. That year, Smith started 59 games for the team. In his rookie season, he averaged 9.7 points per game, with 6.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. In 2005, Smith was the Slam dunk champion during All-Star weekend.
