Josh Powell is an American professional basketball player, currently playing for the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers.
Early Life
Josh Powell was born in Charleston, South Carolina on January 25, 1983. Powell attended high school at Riverdale in Georgia. He continued his education at North Carolina State University. He played for two seasons with the NC State Wolkfpack basketball team, before declaring himself eligible for the NBA Draft.Basketball-Reference.com: Josh Powell
Pro Career
Powell went undrafted in 2005. He signed as a free agent with the Dallas Mavericks averaging 3 points in 11.6 minutes per game. In 2006, he was traded to the Indiana Pacers with Darrell Armstrong for Anthony Johnson. Powell was traded again in 2007. Powell was sent to the Golden State Warriors with Al Harrington, Stephen Jackson and Sarunas Jasikevicius for Mike Dunleavy, Troy Murphy, Ike Diogu and Keith McLeod. His best season was during the 2007-2008 campaign, when he averaged 5.5 points and 5.2 rebounds in 64 games for the Los Angeles Clippers.NBA.com: Josh Powell
