Josh Howard

Josh Howard is a professional basketball player for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association.

Joshua Jay Howard was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on April 28, 1980. He attended high school at Hargrave Military Academy. He continued his education at Wake Forrest University. Howard appeared in 67 games in his rookie season. He averaged 8.6 points per game. The following season he started 76 games for the Mavericks. On September 17, 2008, it was reported that Howard acted inappropriately at a charity event organized by Allen Iverson. A video caught Howard joking around during the singing of the national anthem. The incident was recorded on a cellphone and released on YouTube. In the video Howard states, "The Star-Spangled Banner is going on. I don't celebrate this s**t. I'm black."
