  • NHL Career

    Green was drafted 30th overall in the 1996 NHL draft by the Los Angeles Kings. He split two seasons between the Western Hockey League and the American Hockey League before making his NHL debut with the Kings in 1998. On June 20, 1999, the Kings sent Green to the New York Islanders, where he played for just over a year. He was then sent to the Edmonton Oilers on June 24, 2000. Green was on injured reserve with a shoulder injury for the majority of the 2000-01 season. He then joined the Oilers for 81 games over two seasons before he was traded to the New York Rangers on December 12, 2002. Just over a month later, Green was picked up off of waivers by the Washington Capitals. He completed the 2002-03 season with the Capitals, then signed with the Calgary Flames on July 17, 2003. Green played 36 games in Calgary before they waived him and the New York Rangers claimed him. During the 2004-05 NHL lockout, Green played in the American Hockey League with the Manitoba Moose. On August 23, 2005, he signed as a free agent with the Vancouver Canucks. After two seasons with the Canucks, Green spent the 2007-08 season in Austria with the Red Bull Salzburg EC. He returned to the NHL by signing as a free agent with the Anaheim Ducks in 2008.
