Josh Evans is the fictional MySpace persona allegedly created by Lori Drew who perpetrated a prank on 13-year-old Megan Meier which led to her suicide. Lori, as Josh, pretended to be interested in Megan, and initiated an online relationship with her. After a month, "he" turned on Megan, taunting and rejecting her.

Lori Drew Conviction
Lori Drew was indicted on May 15, 2008, charged with one count of conspiracy and three counts of accessing protected computers without authorization to obtain information to inflict emotional distress. A Missouri jury convicted her of 3 counts of accessing a computer without authorization, a misdemeanor, in November of 2008, and will not likely face any jail time.Wired: Lori Drew Not-Guilty of Felonies in Landmark Cyberbullying Trial (November 26, 2008) Felony counts against Drew for her role in Meier's suicide were dismissed. -
