Joseph Fiennes

Joseph Fiennes is an English actor who has appeared in such movies as Elizabeth and Enemy at the Gates. He also played William Shakespeare in Shakespeare in Love.

Joseph Fiennes attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and made his professional debut on stage with The Woman in Black. He also joined the Royal Shakespeare Company for two seasons.

His big break into film came when he starred in Elizabeth and then in Shakespeare in Love. He received many offers after the success of these two films but turned many of them in order to pursue more work in the theater. He still appears in films but is quite selective about what roles he takes on.
