Actress Josefina Scaglione currently plays Maria in the Broadway revival of West Side Story. Scaglione's performance earned her a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical.

Scaglione, a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, was cast as Maria in 2008, after director Arthur Laurents saw a video of her singing on YouTube. Scaglione won the part and began performing in West Side Story in Washington, D.C.'s National Theater in early 2009.
