  • Jordon Dizon is a National Football League player for the Detroit Lions. Prior to being drafted by the Lions, he played college football for the Colorado Buffaloes.

    In January of 2009, reports surfaced that Dizon would be facing a bench warrant for failing to notify the court that he completed 24 hours of community service, in conjunction with a previous DUI arrest.   • High School Athlete

    Dizon was a four sport athlete at Waimea High School, earning four letters in football, four in basketball, three in track and one in soccer. As a football player, he played running back and linebacker. Dizon earned honors as second team All-State his sophomore, junior and senior seasons, despite missing most of his senior season due to injury.   • College Career

    Dizon committed to the University of Colorado in July of 2003. Before his freshman season began, Dizon started at safety, but was moved to linebacker. He became the first freshman in school history to start the season at inside linebacker. During his freshman season, Dizon had 82 tackles, a new school record for a freshman.

    In 2006, Dizon had 137 tackles, the most by a Colorado Buffaloes player since Ryan Sutter back in 1997. Dizon was a workhorse his senior season, having missed only 34 defensive plays the entire season. He accumulated 160 tackles and was a consensus first team All-American. In 2008, the Detroit Lions selected Dizon 45th in the NFL draft.
