Canadian defenseman Jordan Hendry plays professional hockey with the Chicago Blackhawks in the National Hockey League. Hendry joined the NHL in 2006 by signing as an undrafted free agent with the Blackhawks. Professional Hockey Career
Though he went unselected in several NHL Drafts, Hendry was offered a professional contract in the summer of 2006. He was first assigned to the Norfolk Admirals in the American Hockey League, joining the team for 13 regular-season and three playoff games in the 2006-07 campaign, then returning for a full year in 2007-08. In the summer of 2007, Hendry moved as the Blackhawks changed affiliates to the Rockford IceHogs. He went on to split the next two seasons between Rockford and Chicago, making his professional debut in the 2007-08 campaign by playing in 40 games. College Hockey Career
After playing junior hockey, Hendry joined the University of Alaska-Fairbanks in the CCHA as a freshman in 2002. He saw action in nearly every game his first two seasons, but played only three games in his junior year following a season-ending knee injury. Receiving the Stanley Cup for a day like other members of the Chicago Blackhawks during the 2010 off-season, Jordan Hendry brought the trophy to his hometown of Nokomis, Saskatchewan, Canada.
