  • 11-year old Jordan Brown has been charged with two counts of murder for shooting his father's pregnant girlfriend, Kenzie Marie Houk.     Brown had initially been held at an adult detention center in Lawrence County, but was moved to a juvenile facility in Beaver County a few days later. Because the cost to house Brown was $4,500 per week at the Beaver County facility he was moved to a second juvenile facility in Erie, Pennsylvania on March 2, 2009.     According to reports, Brown shot Houk on February 20, 2009, with a shotgun that he had received as a Christmas present. Brown and his father reportedly practiced shooting behind their house. He then went to get on the bus to school. Houk's four-year-old daughter notified nearby landscapers that Houk was dead. According to relatives, Brown's motive in the crime may have been jealousy.   • Charged as an Adult

    Brown was charged with two counts of homicide. His lawyer, Dennis Elisco, is seeking to move the case to juvenile court. The adult facility where Brown is being held is not equipped for such a young inmate.
