Joost provides an interactive TV experience via the Internet. The company signed up one million users during its invite-only public beta testing, and opened up to the general public on October 1, 2007.

Availability

Joost initially launched as a private beta in March 2008. An invitation was required, however this is no longer the case. There is currently no support for Linux or Apple computers based on the PowerPC chipset.
