19-year-old construction worker Jonathan Vargas won the Powerball jackpot of $35.3 million on May 17, 2008.
He said he chose the winning numbers 12, 14, 15, 21, 43 and Powerball number 30 by listening to the voices in his head. The first five numbers are the ages his siblings and mother will turn this year, the Powerball number was "a lucky guess."
Vargas plans to first pay tithes to his church then to invest wisely, set up trust funds for his siblings, and buy a new house for his mother.
