  • Jonathan Roseblood Cyranus is a fictional character from the Max Quick Series of books. He is a major villain and (at most times) an enemy of Max Quick.

    Originally known as Giovanni di Cyranus, he was born in 1481 in small Italian village near Florence. A rapid succession of personal tragedy turned him towards ill, and once he discovered ancient Niburian artifacts, he became obsessed with immortality and time.

    In the 1930's, Cyranus became known in New York as 'Johnny Siren' by the cosa nostra crime syndicate elements he frequently did business with.

    In the 1990's, Cyranus briefly turned aside from his obsession when he fell in love with Sabine Cole. Together they had a child named Casey. But her birth caused Cyranus to recall the personal tragedies of his earlier life, so he abandoned the family and returned to his old ways.
