Jonathan Pryce is a Welsh-born actor known for his performances on the stage and in such films as Brazil and Glengarry Glen Ross. He has maintained consistent critical acclaim for his performances, even in films, such as 1986's Jumpin' Jack Flash, that have not been critical favorites. His dramatic gravity and gaunt features have led to a disproportionate number of roles as historical figures, including King James (in The New World), Argentine dictator Juan Perón (Evita) and the composer Gustav Mahler (Bride of the Wind).
