  • Major League Baseball pitcher Jonathan Broxton currently plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

    Broxton was drafted right out of high school on June 4, 2002, by the Dodgers in the second round of the MLB Draft. He was immediately placed with the Dodgers' minor league affiliates for his first few seasons.

    On July 29, 2005, Broxton was called up for his MLB debut with the Dodgers. He played 14 games his first season, pitching 13.7 innings and finishing with a 5.93 earned runs average.

    After beginning the 2006 season in the minors, Broxton earned a full roster spot, playing 68 major league games, pitching 76.3 innings and finishing with a career best 2.59 ERA. Broxton also made his first post season appearance with the Dodgers in 2006, where they lost the National League Divisional Series to the New York Mets.

    Broxton continued on the Dodgers roster in 2007, playing in 83 games and finishing with a 2.85 ERA.
