Football Career
Prior to playing in the NFL, Runyan played college football with the Michigan Wolverines. After redshirting in 1992, he started three years, earning All-American and All-Big Ten honors. Runyan made his professional debut with the Oilers in 1996, playing in 10 games. He continued with the team for a total of four seasons as they became the Tennessee Oilers, then the Tennessee Titans. In 2000, Runyan signed as a free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles.
