Jon Favreau is an American actor, screenwriter and director. He began his career acting in the films Rudy and PCU, but got his big break writing and starring in the film, Swingers in 1996. In 2001, Favreau wrote and directed Made, a gangster movie starring Vince Vaughn, Peter Falk, Sean Combs and himself. Favreau then decided to work on some lighter projects, so he directed the comedy, Elf starring Will Ferrell, Zooey Deschanel and James Caan in 2003, and then the kid's space adventure film, Zathura in 2006.
In 2008, Favreau directed the film adaptation of the classic Marvel Comics comic, Iron Man, starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges.
