Jolly Rancher History
The candy was first sold in the Jolly Rancher store, started by Bill and Dorothy Harmsen in Golden, Colorado in 1949. There they produced what was to become their most popular product, called "Fire Stix," which was a cinnamon flavored candy. Starting in 1966, the company was sold to several different conglomerates, until it landed under the Hershey's banner in 1996.
