  • Johnny Winter is an American singer-songwriter, producer, and blues rock guitarist. For almost four decades, Winter has showcased his musical talent on over 30 album releases. Winter has worked with one of his heroes, Muddy Waters, as well as his brother, another well-known musician from the '70s and '80s: Edgar Winter. The two siblings started their first band together as teenagers in Texas and broke into the music business at a young age. Winter released a live album with his brother called Together in 1976.

    Winter has also worked with Tommy Shannon (who would become the bassist for Stevie Ray Vaughan) and Rick Derringer.
