Johnny Isakson is a Republican Senator from the State of Georgia. In August of 2008, Isakson and the nine other bipartisan members of the Gang of 10 proposed legislation aimed at reforming the United States' energy policy by reducing foreign dependence on oil and exploring alternative energy alternatives.

History
Before becoming the Georgia's senator, Isakson represented Georgia's 6th Congressional District from 1999 to 2005. Isakson was also the CEO for the real estate firm Fairgreen Capital, LP before entering politics. -
Positions
- In 2008, voted in favor of prohibiting minors to cross state lines for abortions.
- Voted for a $10.2 billion increase in education funding in 2007.
- Voted against a ban on oil drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
- Staunch supporter the 2nd Amendment.
- Voted against redeploying non-essential U.S. troops out of Iraq.
