John Titor

John Titor was a poster to several bulletin boards claiming to be a time traveler from Tampa, Florida coming from the year 2036. Titor claimed he was an American soldier that was part of a governmental time travel project and was sent back to 1975 to get an IBM 5100 computer that was in need of debugging. In the posts from 2001-2002 Titor made some "predictions" of things to happen starting in 2004. As yet none of them have occurred. Titor would answer questions posted in forums and in IRC and posted images of a supposed time machine and claimed the "Everett-Wheeler model of quantum physics", Many-Worlds Interpretation, was correct.

Predictions:

  1. 2004:Civil war in United States
  2. 2015: Russia releases nuclear bomb in US specifically mentioning Washington, DC and Jacksonville, Florida being hit and Omaha, Nebraska becomes capital city
