John Terry is a defender and captain of Chelsea F.C. of the Premier League and is a member of the England World Cup Team at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He was born on December 7, 1980 in Barking, England.
Terry joined Chelsea's youth team in 1995 and played until 1998, when he advanced to Chelsea F.C. senior club. He also played with Nottingham Forest of the First Division during the 1999-2000 season. Terry played in a season high 36 league games in 2004-2005 and 2005-2006. Terry played in the 2006 World Cup and advanced to the quarterfinals against Portugal. He was the captain of the English National Team from August 2006 until February 2010 when he was replaced by Rio Ferdinand. John Terry has received numerous individual honors throughout his career, including Pro Footballers' Association Player of the Year and Chelsea Player of the Year. He was also a member of Premier League Championship teams in 2005 and 2006. Through the 2009-2010 season, John Terry has played in 452 games and scored 38 goals.
