John Taylor, a Continental Airlines mechanic, has been brought up on charges related to the trial for the July 25, 2000, Concorde Flight 4590 crash that killed 113 people. The plane went down shortly after takeoff due to a metal strip it ran over during its departure. The strip fell off another Continental flight that departed just before Flight 4590. Inspectors say that Henri Perrier, a director at Aerospatiale (maker of the Concorde) is scheduled to appear in court.
