John Stossel

Journalist John Stossel is a former co-anchor of 20/20, a television news magazine on ABC. He's currently featured on the Fox News Channel and Fox Business News.

In October of 2009, a feud began between Stossel and CNN anchor Lou Dobbs after Stossel criticized Dobbs' policy on immigration during a discussion with Glenn Beck.http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/generalities/dobbs_rips_stossel_141121.asp

Career

Stossell was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois and as a child overcame a stuttering problem to become an excellent student and public speaker. He attended Princeton University and graduated in 1969 with a degree in Psychology. Upon graduation, he began doing behind the camera work at affiliate stations until he was hired as a consumer reporter for WCBS. His performance in front of the camera earned him a job offer from Good Morning America. In 2003, Stossel was hired to co-anchor 20/20. He has also written two books and is a vocal proponent of Libertarian principles.
