John Salmons is a 6’6” shooting guard for the Milwaukee Bucks. Salmons has only played one half season for Milwaukee but has turned into one of the top scoring threats for the team since his arrival.
Salmons graduated from the University of Miami (Fla.) with a degree in criminology and sociology but says he would like to become a fashion designer once his basketball career is over.
Salmons is married and he and his wife, Taniesha have one son named Josiah.
Salmons has participated in many charity events that have been hosted by the various teams he has played on, including attending the opening of the Chicago Bulls Reading and Learning Center, located in Lawndale, Illinois. When he was with the Sacramento Kings, John helped to redesign the Center for Fathers and Families as part of the team’s annual Cesar Chavez day of giving festivities. John Salmons 2010 Playoffs
In the 2010 playoffs, the Milwaukee Bucks squared off against the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. The Bucks lost the first two games of the series but managed to rally for a three games to two lead, but could not close the series out and lost the final two games, being bounced from the playoffs in the first round.

John Salmons 2009/10 Season
Salmons came to the Milwaukee Bucks on February 17th in a trade that allowed him to stop serving as a bench player and sometimes starter for the Chicago Bulls take over the starting shooting guard for the Bucks. Salmons appeared in 51 games while starting 28 for Chicago, but appeared in 30 games and started 28 for the Bucks. While only playing an average of four minutes a game more with Milwaukee, Salmons saw his points per game shoot up from 12.7 with Chicago to 19.9 with Milwaukee.
Salmons was traded to the Bucks for forward Joe Alexander and power forward Hakim Warrick.
John Salmons 2008/09 Season
Salmons split the 2008/09 season with the Sacramento Kings and the Chicago Bulls. With the Kings Salmons played and started 53 games and averaged over 18 points a game.
On February 18th the Kings dealt Salmons and Brad Miller to the Bulls for Drew Gooden, Cedric Simmons, Andrés Nocioni and Michael Ruffin. Once he got to the Bulls, Salmons played in 26 games and started 21 of them. Despite the diminished playing time for Chicago Salmons still averaged over 18 minutes a game, though his assists per game did fall from 3.7 to 2.0 when he went from Sacramento to Chicago.
