John Rocker is a former Major League Baseball relief pitcher. He played nearly four seasons with the Atlanta Braves (1998-2001), during which time he became surrounded by controversy after making comments that were viewed as racist, sexist, and homophobic. In 2008, Rocker claimed that Bud Selig and the league knew that he failed a drug test in 2000. Rocker also said that he and other members of the Texas Rangers were advised by league doctors on how to use steroids.
