John Rich is a country singer and songwriter whose initial success was with the band Lonestar as singer and bassist. John Rich left Lonestar in 1998 and teamed with "Big Kenny" Alphin to form the country duo Big & Rich.
John Rich is the host of Gone Country, a competition series on CMT where seven celebrities vie for a shot at a career in country music. Rich was charged with assault and harassment by a former Nashville Star contestant and was free on $3,000 bond on May 29, 2009
