John Phillip Law

Film and stage actor John Phillip Law was born and raised in Hollywood, California.

His acting career began in college and then soon found him on Broadway in the notable production Come One Strong with Van Johnson. He appeared in the production of The Changeling with Faye Dunaway and Tartuffe in the early 1960s.

His breakout film role came in 1966 with the comedy The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming starring Carl Reiner and Alan Arkin. Law had notable film roles in the movie Barbarella with Jane Fonda and Hurry Sundown directed by Otto Preminger and starring Michael Caine.

On May 15, 2008, his ex-wife Shawn Ryan announced that Law had died at his home on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the age of 70.
