Early Life
John Henry Parrish was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on November 26, 1977. In 1996, Parrish was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 25th round of the Major League Baseball amateur draft.
Pro Career
On July 24, 2000, Parrish made his MLB debut with the Baltimore Orioles. In 2004, he appeared in 56 games for the Orioles and compiled a record of six wins and 3 losses. In 2007, he was traded to the Seattle Mariners for Sebastien Boucher. He appeared in 8 games for the Mariners and compiled a 6.97 earned run average. In 2008, his contract was purchased by the Toronto Blue Jays.
