  • John McCargo is a defensive tackle with the NFL's Buffalo Bills. McCargo was a significant contributor to the North Carolina State defense, and was selected in the first round, via a trade with the Chicago Bears, in the 2006 NFL draft.
  • Brief Biography

    A defensive tackle from North Carolina State University, John McCargo was a freshmen All-American in 2003, and proceeded to attain and honorable mention all-ACC in in the same year, and was an academic All-ACC in 2004. Although he suffered an injury that placed him on injured reserve his first year as a professional, McCargo went on to record 45 tackles and got his first career fumble recovery in the 2007 season. On October 14, 2008, McCargo was traded to the Indianapolis Colts. McCargo however failed the team physical, voiding the trade and sending him back to Buffalo.
