  • John Mayall is a British singer, songwriter and musician who help popularize blues music in England. Mayall became famous as the band leader and founder of John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers band. He is primarily known as a mentor to successful musicians such as Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Mick Taylor, Jack Bruce, Larry Taylor, Andy Fraser, and many more. In 1969, he gained a Gold record for his album, Turning Point.
