John Legend, Samuel L. Jackson and the late Bernie Mac recorded a version of James & Bobby Purify's 1966 hit "I'm Your Puppet" for the 2008 musical comedy Soul Men. In the film, Jackson, Mac and Legend portray a fictional soul group called The Real Deal.
