  • NHL Career

    Leclair was drafted 33rd overall in the 1987 NHL draft by the Montreal Canadiens. Rather than joining the NHL immediately, he played four seasons at the University of Vermont, then joined the Canadiens for his NHL debut in 1991. Leclair continued with the Canadiens until February 9, 1995, when he was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers. After a decade with the Flyers, Leclair took the year off during the 2004-05 NHL lockout, then signed with the Pittsburgh Penguins on August 15, 2005. He joined the Penguins for 73 games during the 2005-06 season and 21 games during the 2006-07 season. The Penguins released Leclair on December 14, 2006 and he has not played in the NHL since.
