Emmy Award-winning American actor John Larroquette currently appears on the television show Boston Legal as Carl Sack. Larroquette gained a great deal of attention playing a lawyer earlier in his career with his role as the slimy, lecherous prosecutor Dan Fielding on the NBC sitcom Night Court.
Lawyers and Criminals
Though Larroquette had several small film and guest TV roles in the early 1980s, most notably as a Klingon soldier in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, he first became prominent as a morally lax lawyer on the television sitcom Night Court. Larroquette won the Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series four times in a row, and after the fourth time asked that his name be removed from consideration for the award. He has played a lawyer of a different stripe as crusader Mike McBride in the McBride series of TV movies for Hallmark, four of which he has also directed. He also won an Emmy Award for a guest turn as an accused murderer in The Practice. In 2007, he joined the cast of The Practice spinoff Boston Legal as lawyer Carl Sack. He has also played a White House lawyer in a guest spot on The West Wing.
