National Enquirer reporter Alan Butterfield claims to have witnessed John Edwards' arrival and departure from the Beverly Hilton hotel. Butterfield said Edwards appeared nervous as he walked into the hotel. The Enquirer reported that when Edwards left the hotel around 2:40 a.m., he was met by reporters as he came off the basement elevator.
