On August 6, 2008, the National Enquirer published what it claims is a photo of former Senator John Edwards holding his alleged "love child" with Rielle Hunter. National Enquirer reporter Alan Butterfield claims to have witnessed John Edwards' arrival and departure from the Beverly Hilton hotel. Butterfield said Edwards appeared nervous as he walked into the hotel. The Enquirer reported that when Edwards left the hotel around 2:40 a.m., he was met by reporters as he came off the basement elevator. Edwards allegedly refused to answer any questions, and ran into a restroom. The Enquirer claims Edwards was escorted out of the restroom by hotel security.National Enquirer: Sen.
