  • John Danks is a left-handed pitcher for the Chicago White Sox. After graduating from Round Rock High School in Texas, The Texas Rangers selected Danks as the 9th overall pick in the 1st round of the 2003 amateur draft. Danks pitched several years in the Rangers minor league farm system, but never played for the major league team. In 2006, the Rangers sent Danks, Jacob Rasner and Nick Masset to the White Sox, for Brandon McCarthy and David Paisano.
  • Strengths

    Danks throws a superb change-up, which he compliments with a 90+ mph fastball. He also uses an excellent slider.[1]
  • Weaknesses

    Danks surrenders a lot of hits, and sometimes struggles to keep his fastball down in the strike zone.[1]
