John Buscema was an American comic book artist.
Career
At the start of his career in the 1940s, Buscema drew for crime and romance comics. He joined Marvel in the 1960s, and worked on numerous titles for the next forty years.
Buscema contributed artwork to The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man, Silver Surfer and Conan the Barbarian. Buscema worked on the latter title for nearly 15 years.Comic Book DB: Conan the Barbarian
In 2000, he worked for DC for the first time, penciling an issue of Batman: Gotham Knights. He died of stomach cancer in 2002 at the age of 74.
