Joey Logano was born on May 24, 1990 in Middletown, Connecticut. He is best known as a race car driver for Joe Gibbs Racing in NASCAR. Logano drives the number 20 Home Depot car, a Toyota Camry for the Gibbs Racing team. Logano began racing at age six and at the age of seven, he captured the 1997 Eastern Grand National Championship in the Junior Stock Car Quarter Midget division. As he continued through the Quarter-Midget ranks, he followed up his first title with Eastern Grand National Championships in 1998 and 1999. Joe Gibbs Racing signed him as a development driver in 2005 and took part in the USAR Hooter's Pro Cup Series shortly after his fifteenth birthday, recording his first victory on the circuit on June 11 in Mansfield, Ohio. In 2008 Logano made his debut on the Nationwide Series shortly after his eighteenth birthday. NASCAR regulations prohibit any driver, crew member or anyone affiliated with a team to be under 18. Logano finished with one win, three pole positions and fourteen top tens in nineteen races on the circuit. He captured the pole at Kentucky Speedway and became the youngest winner in the circuit's history there on June 14, 2008. Logano became the youngest driver to ever win a race on the Sprint Cup series on June 28, 2009 when he was victorious at New Hampshire at the age of 19 years, 1 month and 4 days. Kyle Busch previously held the record at 20 years, 4 months, 2 days of age. Joey Logano Crashes at Dover
NASCAR phenom driver Joey Logano crashes between turns three and four at Dover International Speedway in September 2009. Logano is the youngest driver ever to win races on the Nationwide and Sprint Cup series. His best finish in 2010 is a second place finish in March at Martinsville Speedway.
