Criticism
On July 17, 2006, Siegel left a viewing of Clerks 2, just 40-minutes into the movie. He commented on Clerks 2 being the first movie that he ever walked out of. Director Kevin Smith posted on his blog that Siegel's behavior was disruptive and unprofessional.FOX News: Truce Called in 'Clerks II' Spat Smith later appeared on CNN to further discuss the incident. Death
On June 21, 1996, Siegel was diagnosed with colon cancer. After his diagnosis he underwent surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. Two years later doctors found a lesion on his left lung. Siegel underwent pulmonary lobectomy and chemotherapy again. He died on June 29, 2007.
