Joel Madden has been chosen to be the official DeeJay for the Oscars. The 82nd Academy Awards was held on March 7, 2010 and aired live, at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California.
Comedians Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin have been announced as being co-hosts of the show. Madden, the Good Charlotte rocker, has been asked by producer Adam Shankman, to furnish the music when the esteemed awards event airs. Joel Madden, who is 30 years old, will assist with music during commercial breaks. Shankman wanted to provide a party environment and wants to make sure that everyone is having a great time. Shankman stated, " He's one of the best, and knows most everyone there." Madden replied with "Thank you @adammshankman for making me a part of the show. I've never been to the Academy awards before." Madden says that he might even wear a bow tie for the big event.
