Joe Walsh

  • Rock 'n' roll singer and guitarist Joe Walsh's career was kick-started in 1968 when he joined the James Gang, a Cleveland, Ohio, power trio whose "Funk #49" would become a huge classic rock radio hit. Walsh left the James Gang in 1971 and formed a band called Barnstorm, although history would largely attribute both Barnstorm albums, including the 1973 Top Ten album The Smoker You Drink, the Player You Get, to Walsh as solo albums. Walsh replaced Bernie Leadon in the Eagles in 1976, appearing on five of the country rock band's albums total, including the classics Hotel California and The Long Run.
