National Football League offensive tackle Joe Staley currently plays for the San Francisco 49ers. In his 2007 rookie season in the NFL, he started all 16 regular season games, a record for rookie starts for an offensive lineman on the 49ers. He recorded just two tackles during the 2007 regular season.
Staley was selected out of Central Michigan University 28th overall by the 49ers in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft.

Early Career
Staley lettered in both football and track in high school. He set records at his high school for the 200 meter relay in track. Staley played in 46 games over four seasons at Central Michigan. He earned All-Mid American Conference honors his junior and senior years. Staley recorded 100 key blocks, and 22 touchdown-resulting blocks also his senior year. -
