Notable Works
Lawsuit
After the enormous success of Superman, Shuster and his partner, Jerry Siegel, sued DC Comics in 1948 because they felt they had been undercompensated for their work. In the settlement, the men were each awarded $60,000. In 1975, Warner Communications, DC Comics' parent company, agreed to pay Shuster and Siegel $35,000 a year for life.
