Joe Namath is a former professional football player. For the majority of his career, he played quarterback for the New York Jets. Of all his time with the New York Jets, he is best remembered for his amazing performance in Super Bowl III, in which he defeated Johnny Unitas and the Baltimore Colts. For this, he was named MVP of Super Bowl III. In 1985, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Additionally, he is famous for acting and his wild celebrity lifestyle.

Career
Namath was drafted by both the NFL and the AFL, and decided to sign with the AFL's New York Jets, where he spent the majority of his career. Namath was selected to the Pro Bowl five times and was named the AFL MVP in 1968 and 1969. Namath famously helped the Jets win Super Bowl III after predicting that his team would defeat the Baltimore Colts, coached by Don Shula with Johnny Unitis as quarterback. -
