Joe Morgan is a retired Hall of Fame baseball player and long time baseball announcer on ESPN.
MLB Career
Joe Morgan was drafted by the Houston Colt .45's in the amateur draft of 1962. He was traded to the Reds after the 1971 season in what is now considered to be a lopsided deal favoring the Reds. Morgan became a member of "The Big Red Machine" team that one back to back World Series championships in 1975 and 1976. Morgan drove in the winning run in Game 7 of the '75 series, which is recognized as one of the greatest World Series moments of all time. Morgan's outstanding performance also won him the Naitonal League MVP award in both of the Reds' championship seasons.
