Joe Madureira

Joe Madureira is an American comic book artist and writer.

Joe Madureira was an intern at Marvel Comics before becoming a penciler on the Uncanny X-Men. He worked on the series from 1994 to 1997 before creating Battle Chasers for WildStorm Comics.

Though the series did not last longer than nine issues, it was a highly sought-after title. In late 2001, pre-order sales of Battle Chasers #10 (which never made it to print) reached nearly 150,000.ICv2: Top 300 Comics--November, 2001 Madureira took a break from comics to pursue video games.

He co-founded Vigil Games, which was sold to THQ in 2006.IGN: Vigil Games He has since returned to comics, contributing artwork to The Ultimates 3 in 2008.
