Joe Kubert is an American comic book artist and writer. He is best known for his work on Flash Comics with Hawkman and G.I. Combat, where he co-created the character Sgt. Rock. He has also contributed to Batman, Tarzan, The Flash and Enemy Ace.

In 1976, Kubert and his wife founded the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art, the first school to specialize in cartooning.
